What Is Your Warranty Coverage?

Stampede Solar provides a comprehensive bumper-to-bumper warranty beginning at system  commissioning and ends one (1) year later unless stated otherwise on your agreement.

During this period, the following are covered at no cost:
Parts and materials
Labour (including diagnostics and repairs)
Service calls related to system performance

Is there an extended warranty?

Yes.  Extended warranty options are available for longer-term coverage

Coverage includes parts, labour, and service calls, consistent with the original warranty

Pricing depends on system size and configuration

Contact Stampede Solar for a customized quote.

What about after the warranty ends?

After the Stampede Solar warranty period:

Equipment is covered under manufacturer warranties (panels, inverters, racking, etc.)

Labour and service calls become billable

Customers are responsible for troubleshooting and replacement labour costs

Manufacturer warranties vary by product, so reviewing your equipment documentation is  recommended.

How does a manufacturer warranty service call work?

If your issue is related to a manufacturer defect:

Equipment may be covered under manufacturer warranty

Labour and service visits are still billable unless you are covered under our comprehensive  warranty.

If replacement parts do not resolve the issue, additional labour may be required

If my inverter is replaced under warranty, does the warranty reset?

No.

In most cases, a replacement inverter:

Is covered under the remaining term of the original warranty

Does not receive a new full warranty period

Always refer to the specific manufacturer’s warranty terms for exact details.

What should I do if my system is not reporting online?

If your system uses Ethernet-over-Power (EOP) adapters:

Ensure all Ethernet cables are securely connected

Are there any government programs available? Can you help?

Some Alberta municipalities have the Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP) available. In Calgary, click the link for more information here Residential Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP)

Alberta offers various tax incentives for commercial and agricultural solar power installations. Here are some of the key incentives available:

Solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC): Provides a 20%-30% tax credit on eligible solar installation costs, making solar energy more accessible and affordable for Alberta's agricultural and business sectors.
These incentives are designed to encourage the adoption of solar energy solutions, leading to long-term operational savings and energy independence for businesses and farms in Alberta.

What about hail damage to solar panels?

Modern panels are tested for hail. They can withstand an incredible beating in hailstorms. For example, during the brutal hailstorms in 2020 zero (thats right zero!) panel insurance claims were filed. They are built to withstand our tough weather here in Alberta.

Will my property value increase with solar panels?

Yes they will! Typically Alberta homeowners see an increase between 4 - 6% in home value.

How long will my solar panels last?

Solar panels are warrantied for 25 years and are expected to outperform that warranty. With no moving parts, a 30+ year life cycle is generally expected.
